She is far from a rookie in music, having been featured on radio stations such as Hott 95.3 in Barbados, TNT Radio, Team Soca, Caribbean Power Jam, and many more. For years, Empress J has been part of the American music scene, exploring various genres including Gospel, Hip Hop, and even Rock! However, at her core, she is a Soca artist. Her raspy yet sensual register, combined with a unique blend of Caribbean and American vibes, makes Empress J’s gritty and unapologetically raw lyrics memorable, resonating well within the dancehall, reggae and even Afrobeats communities.
